How can I jump to the narration step? #
When you’re ready to add audio to your myiDecide presentation, you’ll want to head to the Narration tab located in the Navigation Bar.
What is on the narration screen? #
The Narration setup includes:
1.) The slide number across the top,
2.) Your script notes below it on the left of the screen,
3.) The recording controls on the bottom left of the screen,
4.) A preview of the slide you’re narrating on the right,
5.) Under the preview is a Play button to restart the enter and exit animations,
6.) An Edit Slide button to easily return to the on-screen editing step.
How do I record my voiceover? #
When you’re ready, click the “Start Recording” button below your script. Recording will start immediately, so be prepared!
You can record each line in real time as many times as you’d like. When you’re finished don’t forget to hit “End Recording” and review your options.
Choose the best version and make sure you click “Use This Recording” on the right side of your file. Then click CONTINUE to move onto the next slide.
NOTE: Once you have made your choice, the builder will delete your other takes so make sure you choose the right one!
Why won’t my microphone work? #
The first time you use the myiDecide Builder you will need to give us permission to access your microphone. After you edit your final closing slide, click NEXT and you’ll see a screen that looks like this:
PLEASE NOTE: You will ONLY see this screen when you click NEXT from the last slide on your timeline. You will not be able to access it by clicking the narration tab on your navigation bar.
On some devices, if your microphone is not already activated a small pop-up window may appear to ask if you’d like to give myiDecide access. Choose allow, and then click the “Start Recording” button.
How do I upload a pre-recorded audio file? #
If recording your own voiceover isn’t for you, it’s easy to upload pre-recorded audio files by choosing “Upload A Recording”. This is located below the “Start Recording” Button.
Can I use an AI voiceover? #
Yes! For those who don’t want to record their own voice but do not have a pre-recorded voiceover, we made it easy for you to purchase an AI generated voiceover by selecting the “Purchase an AI Generated Voiceover” button.
