Zapier is a bridge between iDecide and the apps we do not connect to directly, like HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Gmail and Google Sheets. You build the workflow once, and after that you can create links, send them, and follow up based on viewers' choices automatically without you doing anything by hand.
Zapier is not a CRM and it does not store your data. It passes information from one app to another.
Three words to know #
Zap
The workflow itself. One Zap is one automation.
Trigger
The event that starts the Zap. "When a contact is added to my CRM."
Action
What happens next. "Create a personalized iDecide link."
Which integration do you need #
There are two, and they do different things.
Standard
Available on every plan. Send presentation links out of your CRM, and get back what each viewer saw, clicked and answered. This is the one most people want, including Pro subscribers who send their own presentations.
myiDecide
For Pro subscribers who build presentations. Analytics about the presentation itself: Overall analytics on how your presentation is performing across all accounts. Includes which slides get viewed, how many people click, how many users are sending it out. See Zapier Integration for myiDecide.
The rest of this article, and the articles it links to, cover the Standard integration. #
Connect your account #
- Create a Zapier account if you do not have one. The free plan is enough to start.
- Click Create, then Zap.
- Set your trigger. This is usually your CRM, for example "new contact in HubSpot."
- Add an action step and search for iDecide.
- Sign in with the email and password for your iDecide subscription.
- Choose Create Personalized Link as the Action Event
- Add a third step adding the link back to your CRM or sending it through an email.
- Test each step as you go, then publish.

Good to know: Zapier free plan limits how many steps one Zap can have. That is why most iDecide example setups are split across two Zaps instead of one long one. It is a Zapier limit, not an iDecide one.
