Click any element on a slide and two things appear: the Actions Menu on the element, and the Context Menu across the top of the screen. The Actions Menu controls what the element does. The Context Menu controls how it looks.
The Actions Menu #
Appears when you click any element: text, shape, image or video.
- Actions, opens a panel on the left where you choose what happens when the element is clicked.
- Personalization, inserts dynamic fields such as the viewer's name, or one of your custom fields.
- Edit, edit the element's content.
- Bring Forward และ Send Backward, move the element between layers.
- Duplicate, create a copy.
- Trash, delete it.
- Ellipsis, Flip Horizontal, Flip Vertical, Copy Element and Paste Element.
Your action choices are:
- No Action, the default
- Go to Slide, send the viewer to a specific slide
- Open Link, send them to a URL
- Toggle Selection, for multiple choice options EX: Select all that apply
- Finish Presentation, end the presentation
Setting any action sets Auto-Advance on that slide to No. See Auto-Advance and Actions.
The Context Menu #
Changes depending on what you have selected. These options always appear:
- Stroke, the outline color. The three dots open Width, Style, Position and Join.
- Animations, apply animation effects.
- Shadow, Opacity และ Position.
- Inspector, moves every Context Menu option into a panel on the left and offers more advanced features.
Text
Personalization, Font, Font Style, Font Size, Alignment, Color and Background. The three dots beside Alignment open Vertical Alignment, Frame Behavior, Clipping, Line Height, Paragraph Spacing, Letter Case and Letter Spacing. The three dots beside Background open Horizontal Padding, Vertical Padding and Round Corners.
Shape
Shape, to adjust sides and corners depending on the shape type, and Color for the fill. If the shape contains an image you also get Crop.
Image
Crop, Adjustments (brightness, saturation, contrast, gamma, clarity, exposure, shadows, highlights, blacks, whites, temperature and sharpness), Filter, Effect and Blur.
Video
Trim, Volume, Speed, Crop, Filter, Effect and Blur.
Tip: Open the Inspector when you are fine tuning. Having every option in one left hand panel beats hunting along the top bar for the right set of three dots.
