Actions & Context Menus

Here, we’ll walk through the Actions Menu & Context Menus. If you want your presentation to look like it was created by a professional designer, this is where the fine-tuning happens.

Use these menus to add animations, add effects, enter your brand colors and fonts, apply actions, and more to give your slides a polished, professional finish.

 

Actions Menu #

Clicking on any element(text, shapes, images, & videos) will cause this menu to appear.

Actions– Clicking Actions will open a window on the leftside of the screen. You’ll be able to select what action will be performed when an element is clicked. Enabling an action will set Auto-Advance on the slide to ‘No’.


No Action – Default setting.
Go to Slide – Set a slide that the element will take the viewer to.
Open Link – Enter a URL to take viewers to.
Toggle Selection – Use when creating multiple-choice options.
Finish Presentation – End the presentation when the element is clicked.

 

 

 

 

Bring Forward– Move an element towards the top layer
Send Backward– Move an element away from top layer
Duplicate– Create a copy of the element
Trash– Delete an element
Ellipsis (…)– Brings up option for Flip Horizontal, Flip Vertical, Copy Element, Paste Element

Context Menus

Depending on the type of object you select in your presentation, the Context Menu will display different options tailored specifically to that element.

The following options will always show in the Context Menus:

Stroke – Adjust the outline color. Selecting the three dots (⋯) opens additional stroke settings, including: Width, Style, Position, and Join
Animations – Apply animation effects to the shape.
Shadow – Apply a shadow effect to the shape.
Opacity – Adjust the transparency of the shape.
Position – Modify the placement and alignment of the shape.
Inspector Icon – Click Inspector to display all Context Menu options in a toolbar on the left side of the screen.

Text Context Menu #

The Text Context Menu appears when a text is selected.

Menu Options include:

  • Personalization – Selecting the blue Personalization icon displays options to insert dynamic fields such as: Sender’s name and email & Viewer’s name, location, local time, and email

  • Font – Select the font.

  • Font Style – Apply text styling such as bold, italics, and bold italics.

  • Font Size – Adjust the size of the text.

  • Alignment – Adjust text alignment. Selecting the three dots (⋯) opens additional settings including: Vertical Alignment, Frame Behavior, Clipping, Line Height, Paragraph Spacing, Letter Case, Letter Spacing

  • Color – Select the text color.

  • Background – Apply a background behind the text. Selecting the three dots (⋯) opens additional settings including: Horizontal Padding, Vertical Padding, Round Corners

Shape Context Menu #

The Shape Context Menu appears when a shape object is selected.

Menu Options include:
Shape – Allows you to adjust the shape sides and corners, depending on shape type.
Color – Change the fill color of the shape.

If your shape contains an image, you will see an additional option to Crop the image.

Image Context Menu #

The Image Context Menu appears when an image is selected.

Menu Options include:

Crop– Trim the outer edge of the image.
Adjustments – Fine-tune the brightness, saturation, contrast, gamma, clarity, exposure, shadows, highlights, blacks, whites, temperature, and sharpness.
Filter – Apply a filter.
Effect– Add effects to alter the image.
Blur– Soften or obscure parts of an image.

Video Context Menu #

The Video Context Menu appears when a video is selected.

Menu Options include:

  • Trim– Adjust the start and end points of your video.
  • Volume– Turn the video volume up or down.
  • Speed– Adjust the speed at which the video plays.
  • Crop– Trim the outer edge of the image.
  • Filter – Apply a filter.
  • Effect– Add effects to alter the video.
  • Blur– Soften or obscure the focus of the video.
