Common questions<\/h2>\n

Is Zapier a CRM?<\/p>\n

No. Zapier does not hold your data. It acts as the connection between apps that do not usually talk to each other and passes information across. You still need a CRM, or a spreadsheet standing in for one.<\/p>\n

Does my CRM work with iDecide through Zapier?<\/p>\n

If it connects to Zapier, it can work with iDecide! The one thing to check is what your app actually exposes to Zapier. Some apps offer plenty of actions but very few triggers, which limits your Zap. Search for your app in Zapier and look at its trigger list before you build.<\/p>\n

Which CRM do you recommend?<\/p>\n

The right CRM depends on your business, so it's hard for us to say. What we can tell you is that iDecide integrates with GoHighLevel<\/strong> directly, so if you already use it, you do not need Zapier at all.<\/p>\n

Can I do multiple steps in one Zap instead of several?<\/p>\n

Yes, if your Zapier plan allows it. The free plan caps how many actions one Zap can have, which is why our trainings split the work across two Zaps. On a paid plan you can combine them and add branching. Either way works, so start with whatever is simplest to follow.<\/p>\n

Do I have to tag my buttons for this to work?<\/p>\n

Only if you build your own presentations with a Pro subscription. In the builder, each button has a Track Choice<\/strong> toggle. Turn it on for every choice you want to see in your reports, and leave it off for buttons that just move someone forward, so your data stays clean.<\/p>\n

Is there a phone number I can call?<\/p>\n

What counts as \"finished\" watching?<\/p>\n

Both reaching the end and abandoning partway. If someone watches half your presentation and closes it, iDecide still treats that as finished and still reports everything they saw and chose up to that point. That is why iDecide Finished<\/strong> is the trigger we recommend.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Be careful not to create a Zap loop.<\/strong>
If your Zap is triggered when a record changes and a later step updates that same record, the update can trigger the Zap again - causing it to run repeatedly and quickly use all your available task credits. Make sure your Zap does not update the same field or record that triggers it, and monitor your Zap History after turning it on. For more information, see Zapier\u2019s guide to fixing Zap loops<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Your Zap runs, but it keeps overwriting the same record.<\/strong>
Always use a custom or dynamic field instead of entering a fixed number.
A hard-coded number - such as \u201c2\u201d - will make every Zap update the same row or contact. Choose Custom<\/strong> and select the row or record ID from your trigger step so each run updates the correct record.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Your Zap runs, but Choices Made comes through empty.<\/strong>
If you build your own presentations, choices are only passed to Zapier when Track Choice<\/strong> is switched on for that button. It is off by default. Open the presentation in the builder, turn it on for each choice you want tracked, give it a clear name, then republish and run a fresh test.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Before you email us:<\/strong> open the Zap history in Zapier and look at the most recent run. It shows exactly which step failed and what data it received, which usually points at the answer and makes it much faster for us to help if it does not.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
